If you have been trying to find the ideal place for a real hiking challenge then you won’t find better than the Green River, Utah wilds but before you pack some things, turn on your ADT home security and blaze some trails, you better be prepared to bring your game.
First-Aid Kit – Make sure you have a fully stocked first-aid kit. Hiking involves some traversing over some uneven terrain and you never know what you will run into. You might be a long way from help and you might need to help yourself before someone comes to save you.
Drinking Water – Get a feel for what you can handle and make sure you bring plenty of drinking water just in case. The last thing you need to deal with is dehydration in the middle of nowhere. You have to bring enough to last you, but not so much that it overburdens you.
Long Sleeve Shirt and Pants – It doesn’t matter how warm it is, do you want to sweat a little or do you want to have to worry about ticks and the potential for Lyme disease? Your call.
Hiking can be both enjoyable and calming, but you need to prepare in order to avoid tragedy.
